An Schlichtheit waere nichts auszusetzen.
Another reason for this tendency to intellectualism could be that we have to do a lot of intellectual work in our professional life as well.
Ich hab 'as well' drangehaengt, da du ja eine Gegenueberstellung von Intellektualismus und intellektueller Leistung im Berufsleben ziehst und die beiden Punkte als gleichwertig hinstellst.

Wenn jemand im Englischen keine energy hat, dann heisst dies, dass er keine Lust hat.
Eine andere Redewendung fuer keine Lust haben waere:
We cannot be asked to do sth.
Was heisst das nun mit too much leisure time? Ich versteh nicht was du sagen willst.

Nach 'any' kannst du nur ein Wort im Singular setzen, also any person. Eine Uebersetzung von any, die dir gedanklich vielleicht hilft, ist 'jedwede'.
Ich verstehe auch diesen Satz nicht wirklich.

Obwohl ich dies nicht nachvollziehen kann. Falls du sagen willst, dass er beides kennt, sowohl die Anpassung als auch seine Selbstverwirklichung, dann solltest du das dem Leser auch mitteilen.
